PHOENIX, AZ–SATURDAY, MAY 2, 2026–Gunz An Roses Gunz An Roses rebounded from a troubled trial effort to score his second career victory in the $17,800 AQRA Open Presidents Spring Futurity Consolation (not black type) in the first race of the day at Turf Paradise.

Breaking first from the gate, Gunz An Roses controlled the race from the outset of the 300-yard event. Under Gabriel Medrano, the colt maintained his advantage throughout and stopped the clock in 15.705 seconds, earning a 91 speed index in a gate-to-wire score. The victory marked his second win from three starts and boosted his bankroll to $16,381.

The colt is owned and bred in Arizona by Ralph and Carrie Fales. Matt Fales, the 2026 meet’s leading trainer, handled the conditioning duties. The daughter of FDD Dynasty is out of Heart An Soul by Good Reason SA.

Tactical Answer finished second and continues to search for her first career win, recording her second runner-up effort from three starts. Jacob Enriquez guided the filly for owner Juan Estrada and Rigoberto Guillen oversees her training.

Bred in Oklahoma by Kelly Yother Equine LLC, Tactical Answer is by Gold Heart Eagle V. She is out of Heres A Question by Prospect To The Top.

Uno Mas Tres placed third under Blake Nunnally, giving trainer Matt Fales two of the top three finishers. The Arizona-bred filly races for her breeders, Fred and Michelle Merrick. The daughter of Tres Seis is out of Gunbearer by Desirio. Her record now includes two third-place finishes from three starts.

Timely Arrival, Bp Southern, Baja Wagon, Ms Santa Rita, Eyeconiks, Cd Beautiful Lady, and The Barbershop completed the order of finish.
