BG Dream Crusher Dominates In Debut To Capture Pocatello Downs Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Division 1

POCATELLO DOWNS, ID–MAY 17, 2026– First-time starter BG Dream Crusher APHA delivered an impressive debut performance on Sunday afternoon, surging from the gate under jockey Eric Ayala to win the $5,000 Pocatello Downs Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Division 1 at Pocatello Downs.

The filly broke sharply and “flew from the gates,” according to the official chart comments, before holding off a determined challenge from runner-up GW Stylish Concern APHA in the 300-yard futurity. BG Dream Crusher stopped the timer in :16.746 over a fast track.

Bred, owned, and trained by Bryan Grant, BG Dream Crusher was making the first start of her career. The filly is sired by champion Uncle D and out of the Lotta Loot mare BR Pleasure.

GW Stylish Concern APHA finished second under jockey Luis Cruz Ruiz after a game effort throughout the stretch. Owned, trained, and bred by Gil Wright, the gelding was also making his career debut. He is by GW Stylish Diamond and out of the Annas Best Effort mare Smoky Concern.

Unspotted Prize ApHC completed the trifecta with Tyson Lusk aboard for owner Ralph Hartline and trainer Jay Pitcher. The colt, also bred by Hartline, was making his first lifetime start. He is sired by Spotted Wagon and out of the winning The Louisiana Cartel mare Cajun Prize.

BG Hawks An Eagles APHA and Geetos Mosquito ApHC completed the order of finish.
