RCR Dice Run Extends Win Streak to Four on Friday at Remington Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MAY 22, 2026–One mare was going for her eighth win in a row in the featured starter allowance race of the night Friday, and another gelding was looking to make it four consecutive wins.

The gelding, RCR Dice Run, rolled the dice against the nearly unbeatable mare, PYC Fury JM, and won to stretch his streak to four, the last two at Remington Park this year and the previous two at Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Okla., last year.

PYC Fury JM, a 5-year-old Oklahoma-bred mare by Im a Fancy PYC, out of the Furyofthewind dam Hidden Fury, had won seven consecutive tries coming into this race over three racetracks, dating back to Aug. 24, 2025 at Prairie Meadows in Altoona, Iowa. That’s when her winning streak began. It ended Friday night with a fourth-place finish as the 6-5 betting favorite. She had two at Prairie Meadows, two at Will Rogers Downs and her last three this year at Remington Park. Jockey Angel Ramirez had been aboard her in all seven of those wins.

Ramirez could never quite get her to fire Friday at 250 yards, running fourth in a six-horse photo finish. Trainer Tyler Stein had claimed PYC Fury JM for $12,500 at Remington Park a year ago exactly on this night for owner James D. Watson of Eureka, Kan. Those connections have won 8-of-10 starts with her since the claim.

RCR Dice Run and his own personal winning skein may have been ignored because of his racing against one of the most popular mares on the grounds. This 4-year-old Oklahoma-bred gelding by Bp Run Cartel Run, out of the American Runaway mare Throw Th Dice, won by a neck at 8-1 odds. He also may have been shunned because it took him 10 starts before he won for the first time in his career, but he has not lost since. Jockey Roman Cruz pushed him to the wire Friday to win by a neck over runner-up Shaundas Quick Dash (5-1), who was another nose ahead of third-place finisher Eyesa Candy Guy (10-1). PYC Fury JM ran another head back in fourth, followed by fifth-place finisher Stolin Home Brew (9-1), who was another head behind and she was a head in front of sixth-place finisher Kaces Lucky Charm (27-1).

RCR Dice Run’s streak began at Will Rogers Downs on Oct. 12, 2025 and he followed that with another victory there on Nov. 10 before being laid off until this Remington spring meet. His two starts in Claremore came in claiming company (maiden claiming $7,500 and claiming $10,000-non-winners of two) and then he was put in for a $10,000 claiming price at Remington in his first start here this spring on April 23. Despite the three-race winning streak, no one put in a claim to buy this horse out of any of those races. On Friday night, when he made his fourth trip to the winner’s circle, no one could claim him because he was running in a starter allowance for 3-year-olds-and-up who had started for a claiming price of $10,000 or less from 2024-2026.

RCR Dice Run, trained by Gerardo Quinones-Sarmiento for owner Palomino Trucking (Miguel Palomino) of Oklahoma City, stopped the timer for 250 yards in :13.179 for a speed index of 93 on a fast track. He earned $13,675 from the race to improve to 13 starts, four wins, one second and four thirds for a bankroll of $52,601. He was bred by his owner.

Live racing continues Saturday night with a first post time of 6 p.m. CDT.
