ALBUQUERQUE, NM—MAY 30, 2026—Pour Me a Drinkk posted the fastest qualifying time from six trials contested Saturday at The Downs at Albuquerque, leading the field into the $180,028 Mountain Top QH Derby final scheduled for June 13 at 350 yards.

Owned by Bob McClure and Sandra K. Barrett, the brown gelding by champion Prospect To The Top out of First Cowgirl Flash, by First Moonflash, stopped the timer in :17.012 while winning the fourth trial by 1¾ lengths under jockey Oscar Andrade Jr.

The Gerald Marr trainee broke sharply and quickly separated himself from the field, earning a 104 speed index in what proved to be the fastest clocking of the afternoon. He was bred in New Mexico by Fred Danley.

According to Equibase chart notes, Pour Me a Drinkk “broke sharp, drew off, easy winner” while defeating Jingle Wood in the fourth of six trials.

The second-fastest qualifier was Cq Coyame Jessy, who captured the opening trial in :17.110 for owner Israel Bordier. The gray gelding by leading sire Big Daddy Cartel out of Runaway Leonarda, by Jesse James Jr., was bred in New Mexico by Carlos Paez and Israel Bordier and is trained by Wesley T. Giles.

Noe Garcia Jr. had the riding assignment aboard the gelding, who showed early speed and held off a late challenge to secure the victory.

Just one-thousandth of a second behind Cq Coyame Jessy was Beyond Big Daddy, who qualified third overall after winning his trial in :17.111. The gelding races for Tungsten Racing Partnership and Carlos F. Paez, was bred by Carlos Paez, trained by Ramon Mendoza, and ridden by Jose Enrique Ortiz.

The Mountain Top QH Derby final for New Mexico-bred 3-year-olds will be contested June 13 at The Downs at Albuquerque with a purse of $180,028.
