GILLETTE, WY–JUNE 6, 2026–Five trials were contested Saturday at Wyoming Downs for the $75,000-added 307 Horse Racing Open Derby, with the ten fastest qualifiers earning berths to the June 21 final at 350 yards.

The fastest qualifier emerged from the fifth and final trial as Fancy Dashing Diva stopped the clock in :17.542 while posting a 96 speed index.

Ridden by David Alvarez Jr., Fancy Dashing Diva scored a three-quarter-length victory for owner Renegade Racing and trainer Josh Taylor. Bred by Craig Lauger, the filly is a $14,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate.

She is sired by champion FDD Dynasty and out of the stakes-winning One Sweet Jess mare Oh So Fancy Fancy ($43,020), a half sister to graded stakes winner All Out Arrogant ($152,429).

Fancy Dashing Diva now owns a record of 9-2-1-1 with earnings of $24,651. A finalist in last year's Sweetwater Downs Futurity, she remains in search of her first stakes victory.

Finishing second behind the top qualifier in the final trial was Cyber Courage, who earned the second-fastest qualifying time after a game runner-up effort in :17.651. Ridden by Brandon Guevara, the gelding is owned and trained by Alex Torres-Casas.

Bred by Flag Ranch LLC, Cyber Courage is a $45,000 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale graduate. The son of leading sire Cyber Monday is a half brother to stakes winner Cartels Courage ($90,246), while his second dam is champion Tiny First Effort ($445,393).

Cyber Courage now sports a record of 6-2-3-0 with earnings of $142,236. He entered the trials off a runner-up finish in the Desert Classic Derby.

CA Mental Cartel captured her trial in gate-to-wire fashion to secure the third-fastest qualifying time of :17.774. Ridden by Jacob Cardenas, the filly races for owner Lana Matt and trainer Jess Matt. Bred by Lou Weaver, she is sired by Mental Error and out of the stakes-placed One Famous Eagle mare Lil Baby Eagle.

Already a stakes winner in last year's Charles M. Russell Futurity, CA Mental Cartel was coming off a fourth-place finish in the Dan Lockie Derby. She now boasts an impressive record of 7-5-0-0 with earnings of $34,649.

There was a tie for the tenth fastest time between three horses, Rrelentless Doll, Cowboy Cadillac and Reaglly Valiant. Rrelentless Doll won the draw.
