EVANSTON, WY–JUNE 20, 2026–Third-fastest qualifier Kcross Lever Action surged to her second consecutive victory on Saturday, capturing the $159,650 307 Horse Racing Wyoming Bred Derby at Wyoming Downs.

The 350-yard final for accredited Wyoming-bred 3-year-olds was contested over a fast track with a strong tailwind. Breaking alertly from the gate under jockey Jayden Ironeyes, Kcross Lever Action seized the lead immediately and held off a determined late challenge to win by a neck in a time of 17.614 seconds, earning a 94 speed index.

Owned by BDS Performance Horses and trained by Skyler Greene, the filly was bred in Wyoming by Mike Lipp. She is sired by Pistol Packin Perry and out of the stakes-winning Coronas Velvet mare VVR Dazzling Corona.

The winner's share of $79,825 boosted her bankroll to $101,047 from 10 starts. She now sports a record of 10-3-2-1.

Prior to Saturday's victory, she was a finalist in both the WABRA Wyoming Bred Futurity and the Ron Crook Accredited Wyoming Bred Futurity.

Second-fastest qualifier In The Vee closed strongly after breaking from post 2 and tracking the pace from third in the early stages. Under Jacob Cardenas, he rallied late but came up a neck short at the wire while earning a 93 speed index.

Owned by Eddie Jensen and trained by Jess Matt, the gelding was bred by Dan and Kim LaPierre. He is by Junior June Bug and out of the Brindis Por Cayenne mare Brindis Secret.

One of the most accomplished runners in the field, In The Vee now owns a record of 12 starts with seven wins, two seconds, and one third while earning $175,361. His record includes victories in last year's WABRA Wyoming Bred Futurity and the Bucking Horse Sale Futurity.

Fastest qualifier Surfinoverthemoon finished third by a nose after making up ground from mid-pack under Julian Zavala. The gelding earned a 90 speed index while securing the show position in a blanket finish.

Owned by Lana Matt and trained by Jess Matt, Surfinoverthemoon was bred by Walter Larson. He is sired by Corona Surfer and out of the stakes-winning Mr Jess Perry mare Dashmetothemoon.

The gelding now carries a record of 12-3-4-3 while banking $54,446. He entered the derby off a third-place effort in the Dan Lockie Derby and remains in search of his first stakes victory.

Flying Rocco finished fourth after a strong late rally, followed by Dynasty Delight, R Dash Of Fire, Papas Dynasty, My Dynasty, Ud Baby, and Apollitical Duck.
