TULSA, OK–JUNE 20, 2026–My Navajo Squaw prevailed in a thrilling finish to capture the $14,000 Tulsa State Fair Stakes on Saturday at Fair Meadows. The 350-yard event was restricted to 2-year-old Paints and Appaloosas and was contested over a fast track.
Ridden by Randy Vega, My Navajo Squaw raced just off the early pace before launching a sustained bid through the stretch. The bay filly dueled with WF Manfredi in the final yards and got up by a nose at the wire, stopping the clock in 18.362 seconds.
Owned by Dan and Kaye Jones, with Kaye Jones also the breeder, the filly is trained by Matt Whitekiller. She is sired by champion Quarter Horse Uncle D and out of the Second Painted Sign mare Gogo Maserati, a graded stakes finalist.
The victory improved My Navajo Squaw's record to four starts with two wins and earnings of $19,265. Earlier this season she was a finalist in the Victoria Ennis Memorial Stakes at Remington Park.
WF Manfredi and jockey Mario Delgado finished a game second after leading into mid-stretch before being caught in the final stride. The gelding was crowded and broke outward at the start.
Owned by Painted Faith Racing and trained by Dee Keener, WF Manfredi was bred by Steven Wright. He is by PHQ Apollitical Jess and out of the Country Quick Dash mare Biker Chick.
WF Manfredi now owns a record of six starts with one win, two seconds, and earnings of $14,559. His record includes finalist appearances in the PSBA American Paint Classic Futurity (G1) and the Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Juvenile.
Dallas North Tollway rallied from the back of the field after stumbling at the start to finish third under Cody Smith. The filly stayed on well through the stretch to secure the show position.
Owned and bred by Steven Imhof and trained by Matt Whitekiller, Dallas North Tollway is sired by Painted Turnpike and out of the CRM Livewire mare Patron At Sunset.
The filly now sports a record of four starts with one win and earnings of $15,435.
Peace Out Homies finished fourth and was followed by the lone Appaloosa in the field, Bigwig Bart. Magic Candy was scratched.
