EVANSTAN, WY–JUNE 21, 2026– Miss Relentless extended her winning streak to two races with a victory in the $153,478 307 Horse Racing Open Derby on June 21 at Wyoming Downs.
Ridden by Bryan Candanosa, the filly broke sharply and dueled for the lead before edging clear in the final yards to win the 350-yard stakes by one length.
Owned by Buckway Ranch, LLC and trained by Joe Davis, Miss Relentless was bred in Oklahoma by Flag Ranch LLC. The $140,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate is sired by champion and champion sire Hes Relentless and out of the stakes-placed Tres Seis mare Miss Perrys Tres. Her female family includes champions Alice K White ($276,837) and Astica ($411,623).
The victory was worth $78,325 and increased her earnings to $114,588. Miss Relentless now owns a record of 5-4-0-0 and earned her first stakes victory after previously finishing as a finalist in the Black Gold Fillies Futurity (G3) last season.
Third-fastest qualifier CA Mental Cartel rallied from near the back of the field after being herded out early and closed strongly to secure second under Jacob Cardenas. She is by champion FDD Dynasty and out of the stakes-winning One Sweet Jess mare Oh So Fancy Fancy ($43,020), a half-sister to graded stakes winner All Out Arrogant ($152,429).
