Ts Cyber Flash Captures Hawkeye Futurity At Prairie Meadows

ALTOONA, IA–JULY 3, 2026–Second-fastest qualifier Ts Cyber Flash delivered a strong performance in the $99,875 Hawkeye Futurity on Friday afternoon at Prairie Meadows, scoring his first career stakes victory in the 330-yard final for Iowa-bred juveniles.

Ridden by Francisco Calderon, Ts Cyber Flash overcame trouble leaving the gate, breaking out and bumping twice at the start before surging to the lead and pulling away to a one-length victory. The brown gelding completed the distance in :17.073 and earned a speed index of 85.

A homebred owned and bred by Thomas J. Scheckel and trained by Fernando Manriquez, Ts Cyber Flash has now won three of four career starts. The $44,944 winner's share of the purse increased his earnings to $67,902.

The gelding is sired by Cyber Monday and out of the First Moonflash mare Stylish Flash. Entering the final off a trial victory, he has now put together back-to-back wins while securing his first black-type victory.

Fastest qualifier Jess A Lil Whiskey finished second under Mario Delgado for owners Jose Antonio Villegas and Jim Kobett and trainer Tony Jones. The Flying Cowboy 123 colt raced near the leaders throughout before holding the runner-up position, stopping the clock in :17.236 with a speed index of 80.

Bred by HK Performance Horses, Jess A Lil Whiskey is out of the Valiant Hero mare Jess Valiant. Making only his second career start, the colt has banked $26,708 while recording a win and a second-place finish.

Streakin KMH completed the trifecta under Alfredo Triana Jr. for owners Stacy Barr and Michelle Cadenhead and trainer John Stinebaugh. The daughter of champion Kiss My Hocks closed steadily to finish third in :17.253 while also earning a speed index of 80.

Bred by RDS Legacy Racing LLC, Streakin KMH is out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Streakin Jesszee. The filly has now earned $20,898 from three career starts.

Tricked Out Wagon finished fourth and was followed by Kiss Is On My List, Kiss Your Own Hocks, Thewayperrywantstoo, Monday Daydreams, Ts Cyber Hunny, and Ts Seven Dollar Beer. Ts Seven Dollar Beer was disqualified from eighth place and placed tenth following the race.
