VINTON, LA –JULY 11, 2026–Dropping Dimes remains undefeated this season while adding a third stakes victory to his 2026 campaign with a commanding score in Saturday's $75,000 Louisiana Classic (RG2) at Delta Downs.
Breaking from post six under Jorge Garcia, Dropping Dimes left the gate fourth before quickly moving into contention. The 4-year-old gelding took command by the first call and drew away to win by three-quarters of a length while earning a 105 speed index in 21.700 seconds for the 440 yard stakes. The heavy 2-5 favorite returned $2.80 to win.

Bred in Louisiana by Ryan and Danielle Robicheaux, the gelding races for Jaime Cardenas and is trained by Josue Ponce.
The Louisiana Classic victory improved Dropping Dimes' record to nine wins from 18 career starts while boosting his earnings to $225,813. The Louisiana-bred star has now swept all three of his starts in 2026, following victories in the HDJ Butler Stakes (G2) and the Miss Polly Classic Stakes (G3).
Earlier in his career, he captured the Treme Derby, finished second in the Delta Downs Louisiana Bred Derby (G3), and was a finalist in both the Louisiana Champions Day Derby (G3) and the LQHBA Louisiana Million Invitational.
RF Imperial Choice finished second after dueling with the winner through the early stages before settling for runner-up honors.
Bred by Rogers Farm, Tim Rogers and Jennie Rogers, the four-year-old daughter of Imperial Hint TB is out of RDD Obvious Choice, by Heza Fast Dash. RF Imperial Choice is owned and trained by Ismael Solis-Guevara and was ridden by Juan Garcia Jr.
A $10,500 graduate of the 2023 LQHBA Yearling Sale, RF Imperial Choice now has four wins, seven seconds and one third from 27 starts with earnings of $167,059. The Louisiana Classic marked her fourth career black-type placing. The 14-time stakes finalist was second in last year's Amelia Belle Stakes and Treme Derby and finished third in the LQHBA Breeders Oaks.
Leaving Coyame finished third under Eddi Martinez, another half-length behind RF Imperial Choice. The son of Coronas Leaving You was bred by Carlos Gerardo Levario out of Dressed To Kill, by Mr Eye Opener. Trainer Luis Martinez Jr saddled the four-year-old gelding for owner Carlos Levario.
Leaving Coyame now has five wins from 22 starts with earnings of $129,675. The Louisiana Classic marked his first black-type placing of 2026. Earlier this season he was a finalist in the Miss Polly Classic (G3). Last year he won the Louisiana Champions Day Derby (G3) and finished third in the Mid City Stakes (G3).
The remaining order of finish is Paint Me Onis, Engine Victory, One Sweet Boss, San Lorenzo Luna and LRH Jess Shake It Up.
