One Fabulous Dixie Heads NDQHRA Futurity Qualifiers at North Dakota Horse Park
One Fabulous Dixie and jockey Kody Kellenberger race to the fastest qualifying time for the $17,000 NDQHRA Futurity after a 2½-length victory in the opening of two 350-yard trials Friday at North Dakota Horse Park.

FARGO, ND–JULY 17, 2026– Two trials were contested Friday at North Dakota Horse Park for the $17,000 NDQHRA Futurity, with the eight fastest qualifiers advancing to the 350-yard final on August 2.

One Fabulous Dixie posted the fastest qualifying time after drawing off to a 2½-length victory in the opening trial under jockey Kody Kellenberger. The Robert Don Johnson-trained filly stopped the clock in :18.219 while making just her second career start.

A homebred for Billy Buchholz, she is by One Fabulous Eagle out of the Freighttrain B mare Marmolly.

Travelin Prince secured the second-fastest qualifying time with a dominant 3¼-length victory in the second trial under jockey Carlos Banda. Trained by co-owner Mark Allery, the gelding is also owned by John Bercier.

Bred by Doug Demontigny, he is by Travelin Miracle out of the Rare News mare Rare Hula. The victory improved his record to two wins from five starts with one third and earnings of $6,763. He entered the trials off a fifth-place finish in the Rusty Wilson Memorial Futurity.

Ac Memaws Moonpie earned the third-fastest qualifying time after finishing second to One Fabulous Dixie in the opening trial. Ridden by Carlos Banda, the gelding is trained and bred by Mark Allery for owner Cyrus Davis.

He is by Louisiana Jambalaya out of the Maltese Dog mare Doggerwinii and now owns a record of four starts with two runner-up finishes and earnings of $4,110.

The $17,000 NDQHRA Futurity final is scheduled for August 2.
