Jt Midlife Crisis and jockey Roman Cruz draw away to win the Grade 3 $170,476 Speedhorse Futurity on July 18 at Fair Meadows.

TULSA, OK–JULY 18, 2026–Fastest qualifier Jt Midlife Crisis lived up to expectations with a convincing victory in the Grade 3 $170,476 Speedhorse Futurity on July 18 at Fair Meadows.

Ridden by Roman Cruz, the homebred gelding races for owner-trainer Jeffrey Tyer. The son of Tell Cartel out of the Real Visions mare Wranglers Vision covered 350 yards in :17.415, earning a stellar 105 speed index.

The $64,781 winner's share of the purse boosted his bankroll to $104,098 while improving his record to four wins from five starts. The victory marked his first stakes score after entering the race off a finalist effort in the Grade 2 Easy Jet Stakes.

Second-fastest qualifier Whiskey Doc finished second under Cody Smith for owner Dusty Rose Ranch LLC and trainer Stacey Capps.

The homebred gelding is by Docs Dusty Cartel and out of the Tac It Like A Man mare Tacitlikejohn.

He completed the 350 yards in :17.498, earning a 102 speed index. Whiskey Doc now owns a record of two wins, two seconds, and one third from six starts with earnings of $98,914.

His record includes runner-up finishes in both the Grade 2 Easy Jet Stakes and the Speedhorse Futurity, a third-place effort in the Grade 3 Laico Bird Stakes, and a fourth-place finish in the Grade 2 Oklahoma Futurity.

Kissin Country Chick finished third under Cordarelton Benn for owner Shawn Davis and trainer Luz Chavira.

Bred by Monty McNair, the $37,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate is by champion Kiss My Hocks and out of the stakes-placed Country Chicks Man mare Specialscountrychick.

She is a half-sister to stakes winner Relentlessly Special ($256,911). Kissin Country Chick covered the distance in :17.530, earning a 101 speed index. She now has a record of one win, one second, and two thirds from five starts with earnings of $37,066.

First Prized Jewel finished fourth and was followed by Hez Cowboy Kool, Uncle Beast, Black Storm B, Cyber Storm 918, and Eagles Ky Delight. Mindset was scratched.
