Luis Valenzuela guides Broadway Dish to a late-rally victory in the $25,875 Bear River Stakes on July 25 at Wyoming Downs.

EVANSTON, WY—JULY 25, 2026—Broadway Dish unleashed a strong late rally to collar Dr Shan The Man in the final strides and win the $25,875 Bear River Stakes on Saturday at Wyoming Downs.

The 6-year-old mare completed the 870-yard test in :46.256 over a fast track, earning a speed index of 87.

Ridden by Luis Valenzuela, Broadway Dish is owned and trained by James Crotts. Bred by Dream Walkin' Farms Inc., the Oklahoma-bred mare is sired by Euroears and out of the Forestry mare Broadway News.

Coming off back-to-back runner-up finishes in the Hank Mills Stakes and Nellie Tayloe Ross Stakes, she improved her record to 29-10-8-5. The $14,231 winner's share of the purse increased her lifetime earnings to $157,499.

Dr Shan The Man set or pressed the early pace and battled gamely to the wire before settling for second, beaten a neck in :46.397 with an 86 speed index.

Jimmy Coates rode the 6-year-old gelding for owner Morgan Martinez and trainer Terri Rust. Bred by Rockin J Running Horses, the son of Call Me Corona out of Twntyfour Karat Rock now owns a record of 31-3-5-4 with earnings of $75,123.

Still seeking his first stakes victory, he previously finished fourth in the Grade 3 Lone Star Distance Challenge Stakes.

Western Grit closed from well back with a late surge to finish another neck behind the runner-up in third. Ridden by Jesus Canales for owner Lance Hemsley and trainer Savana Canales, the 5-year-old gelding covered the distance in :46.451 and earned an 85 speed index.

Bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, the son of Dads Caps out of Sherika now has a record of 16-1-2-4 with earnings of $55,085.

Lightning Jess, Dangerous Dude, Wheres Texas, Twice Over and Mr Secret Lee completed the order of finish.
