Game For Tarzan and jockey Mynor Arana held off a late rally to win the $27,750 Blane Schvaneveldt Stakes at Wyoming Downs.

EVANSTON, WY–AUGUST 2, 2026–Game For Tarzan earned his first career stakes victory Sunday afternoon, holding off a late challenge to capture the $27,750 Blane Schvaneveldt Stakes for Intermountain-bred Quarter Horses three-years-old and older at Wyoming Downs.

Ridden by Mynor Arana, the Diana Garfias trainee bobbled slightly leaving the gate before taking command and holding on for a half-length victory in :19.777 for the 400 yards, earning a 98 speed index over a fast track.

Owned by Triple G Racing LLC and bred by Robicheaux Ranch, the colt is by Tarzanito out of the Game Patriot mare Ms Patriot Awe. The victory improved his record to 14-4-4-0, while the $15,263 winner's share increased his earnings to $64,819.

The win marked the first stakes score for Game For Tarzan, who previously finished as a finalist in the Sweetwater Downs Derby, Energy Downs Derby, Wyoming Downs Futurity, and Energy Downs 307 Open Futurity.

Dads Racy Te rallied from off the pace to finish second under Cerapio Figueroa, stopping the clock in :19.840 with a 97 speed index.

Owned by Kimberly Skaggs and trained by Robby Overturf, the gelding was bred by Mark and Peggy Brown and is a $30,000 Ruidoso New Mexico Bred Sale graduate. The son of Big Daddy Cartel out of the winning Mr Jess Perry mare Jessa Techick, a half-sister to Golden State Derby (G1) winner Mr Pie Chick, now owns a record of 22-5-5-4 with earnings of $148,791.

He entered the race off a runner-up finish in the Evanston Stakes after winning the Energy Downs Stakes.

Fire Of The Mountain finished a game third under Jayden Ironeyes, covering the distance in :19.843 with a 96 speed index.

Trained by Joe Hadley for homebred owners Larry and Joyce Mower, the gelding is by Jr Dynasty Mountain out of the Vital Sign mare Sheza Signature. He now sports a record of 22-10-2-5 with earnings of $110,243.

He entered the stakes off a fifth-place finish in the 307HR Open Maturity and won the 2024 Blane Schvaneveldt Handicap Stakes at Los Alamitos.

Kr Cartels Calamity finished fourth and was followed by Jess Yaya, Rlh Fouronthefloor, Uncle Willard, and M E Kool Carter. Shaundas Eagle was scratched.
