EVANSTON, WY—AUGUST 8, 2026—Er Innocent Party battled Jlm Maggieslastdance throughout the 330 yards before edging clear late to win Saturday's $211,800 Ron Cook Accredited Wyoming Bred Futurity at Wyoming Downs.

With Luis Valenzuela aboard, Er Innocent Party broke sharply from post 3 and dueled with Jlm Maggieslastdance before getting his head in front in the final yards. The brown gelding prevailed by a neck while completing the 330 yards in 16.662 over a fast racing surface, earning a 99 speed index.

The victory was worth $97,428 and increased Er Innocent Party's career earnings to $124,850 from four starts. He has won three races and finished third once. The Wyoming-bred gelding entered the Ron Cook Futurity trials after finishing third in the 307HR Wyoming Bred Futurity on June 27.

Ross Brown trains Er Innocent Party for owners himself and Elsha McGarry, who also bred the 2-year-old in Wyoming. The gelding is by champion sire Hes Innocent and out of the Pappasito mare Pappas Party.

Jlm Maggieslastdance, ridden by Jacob Cardenas for trainer Jess Matt, fought gamely through the finish and settled for second, a neck behind the winner and a head in front of Living The Dreamm. The runner-up earned $42,360 for owner Lana Matt, increasing his career earnings to $60,383 from five starts, with two wins and two seconds.

Bred in Wyoming by Walter Larson, Jlm Maggieslastdance is a sorrel gelding by multiple stakes sire Eagle Deluxe and out of Rambling Maggie, by The Down Side.

Living The Dreamm rallied to finish third, a head behind Jlm Maggieslastdance, earning $21,180 for owner CG Racing, LLC. Aram Martinez rode the chestnut gelding for trainer Jarrett Mills. Living The Dreamm has now earned $24,280 from four starts, with one second and three third-place finishes.

CG Racing LLC and David Hill bred Living The Dreamm in Wyoming. The gelding is by Bodacious Dash from the Ec Jet One mare Kd Ladys Luck.

Completing the official order of finish were Billys High Returns, Wb Miss Alycash, Son Of A Spoon, Pappys Priscilla, Mario Cartell and Dashn Steffie. Topp Shelff crossed the wire fourth but was disqualified and placed 10th after drifting across two paths near the sixteenth marker in front of two rivals.
