Cartel Lorenzo won the Tyler Facer Memorial Futurity Sunday afternoon at the Oneida County Fair.

MALAD CITY, ID—AUGUST 9, 2026—Cartel Lorenzo went gate-to-wire Sunday afternoon to capture the $5,800 Tyler Facer Memorial Futurity for 2-year-old Quarter Horses at the Oneida County Fair.

Racing over 300 yards on a fast track, Cartel Lorenzo broke sharply under jockey Brayan Juarez and never surrendered the advantage, stopping the timer in 15.623 for a 91 speed index. The gray filly crossed the wire three-quarters of a length in front of Easter Spcle Miracle, who was subsequently disqualified from second and placed seventh for boring in at the start.

The disqualification elevated My Favorite Kiss 48 to second. Cartel Lorenzo finished two lengths in front of My Favorite Kiss 48 based on their original positions at the wire, while Ashotatmeleavinyou was another 2 1/4 lengths back in third. The official trifecta was Cartel Lorenzo, My Favorite Kiss 48, and Ashotatmeleavinyou.

The victory was worth $3,480 for owners and breeders Neil and Jere Harris. Sergio Canales trains Cartel Lorenzo, a 2024 daughter of second-crop sire San Lorenzo from Duchess Cartel, by The Louisiana Cartel. The Idaho-bred filly was ridden by Juarez. It was the first win in five starts for the filly has banked over $7,000.

My Favorite Kiss 48 earned $1,450 for owners Karla Diaz and Oscar Diaz with his runner-up finish. Javier Fuentes trains the 2024 gelding, who was ridden by Fernando J. Olague. Bred by LOS LLC, My Favorite Kiss 48 is by leading sire Kiss My Hocks and out of Favorite Wild Girl, by Favorite Cartel. He was a $52,000 purchase at the 2025 Heritage Place Yearling Sale and was a finalist in the 307HR Open QH Futurity in June. He has earned nearly $14,000.

Ashotatmeleavinyou was elevated to third and earned $870 for owner, trainer Alex J. Romero. Raphael Romero had the riding assignment aboard the 2024 filly by Rc Me Leaving You from A Shot At Glory, by Strawfly Special. Bred by Brian L. Gunder, Ashotatmeleavinyou finished 2 1/4 lengths behind My Favorite Kiss 48 after also being bothered by a foe. She won the Pocatello Downs Spring Classic Futurity Consolation back in May

Completing the field were Wealth Manager, Ibz Buenrostro, El Dorion, Easter Spcle Miracle, who was disqualified from second and placed seventh, and Princess Heroine.

The Tyler Facer Memorial Futurity is not a black-type stakes.
