Hard To Cowboy broke through for his first career stakes victory Sunday night, capturing the XXVI Clásico Jodys Glory at Hipódromo de las Américas.

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO–AUGUST 9, 2026–Hard To Cowboy broke through for his first career stakes victory Sunday night, capturing the XXVI Clásico Jodys Glory at Hipódromo de las Américas.

The 350-yard stakes for 2-year-old Quarter Horses carried a purse of $48,123, with $24,062 awarded to the winner.

Hard To Cowboy stopped the clock in :17.551, earning an 88 speed index under Arturo Vega Moreno. The Flying Cowboy 123 colt held on gamely to defeat Already Favorite by a half-length, with Flying Rose another head back in third.

Racing for Cuadra Bronco Rider and trainer Cesar Garcia Serrano, Hard To Cowboy was bred in the United States by Louis Malecheck III. The colt is a $90,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate.

Hard To Cowboy is by champion and champion sire Flying Cowboy 123 and out of stakes winner Hardtoget, by Foose, who earned $128,140. He is a full brother to graded stakes winner Flyin Rabbit 123 ($376,405), while his third dam is champion Tiny First Effort ($445,393).

The victory improved Hard To Cowboy's record to 4-1-0-1 with $27,397 in earnings.

Ridden by Alejandro Gomez, Already Favorite responded late to finish second for Cuadra Los Chivos and trainer Carlos Alberto Jose Perez. Bred by Grant Farms LLC, the $30,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate is by champion sire Favorite Cartel and out of the stakes-placed Mr Jess Perry mare Shes Already Famous ($65,310). His second dam is a half-sister to champion One Famous Eagle ($1,387,453).

Already Favorite, who also finished second in the Clasico The Prize, now owns a record of 4-1-2-1 with earnings of $23,540.

Flying Rose finished third after tiring late under Alejandro Gomez Lopez. The Garlyn Shelton-bred filly is a $15,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate and, like the winner, is sired by Flying Cowboy 123. She is out of the Corona Cartel mare Corona Tea Rose. Flying Rose now has a record of 6-1-1-2 with earnings of $11,762 for owner Cuadra Alpuyeca and trainer Antonio Garcia Carranza.

Lucy Kate, A Africana, CV Star Spirit, RR Streakin Big, RG A Candy Girl and AMG Fire completed the order of finish.
