A Perfert Legacy Df posted the fastest time from six trials contested on Saturday for the $190,000-est. Gillespie County Fair Futurity at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds.

FREDERICKSBURG, TX—AUGUST 15, 2026—A Perfert Legacy Df rolled to a 2 1/4-length victory in the last of six trials Saturday afternoon to post the fastest qualifying time for the $203,050 Gillespie County Fair Futurity at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds.

The 10 fastest 2-year-olds from the six 350-yard trials earned berths in the August 30 final.

A Perfert Legacy Df, a brown colt by last year's leading first-crop sire Dulce Sin Tacha, broke on top under jockey Brian Cobos Barraza and was never seriously threatened in the sixth trial. He led by a length early, increased his advantage to 1 3/4 lengths and crossed the wire 2 1/4 lengths in front of runner-up Crystal Boi.

A Perfert Legacy Df completed the 350 yards in 17.597, earning a 97 speed index while racing into a 14 mph headwind. He drifted toward the two path but continued on strongly to record the day's fastest clocking.

The victory was the first in three career starts for A Perfert Legacy Df, who has one second and one third and earnings of $9,980. He was second in a trial for the Sam Houston Futurity in May after finishing third in his career debut on April 12 at SunRay Park.

Owner-trainer Heber Deyta-Melendez campaigns A Perfert Legacy Df, who was bred in Oklahoma by Donald J. Friesen. The colt from Legacys A Streakin, by Streakin La Jolla, was purchased for $67,000 at the 2025 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

Mr Jet Fees posted the second-fastest qualifying time with a victory in the fourth trial. The brown gelding and jockey Claudio Ponce Aguilar broke alertly from post two and went immediately to the front. After dueling for the advantage, Mr Jet Fees edged clear late to win by a half-length over Prize Time Girl.

Mr Jet Fees stopped the timer in 17.830, earning a 91 speed index while racing into a 12 mph headwind.

The victory improved his career record to three wins and two seconds from six starts with earnings of $34,704. Mr Jet Fees entered Saturday's trials off a fourth-place finish in the Gillespie County Fair Firecracker Futurity on July 19.

Jimmy W. Guerra trains Mr Jet Fees for owner Faithful Cowboy, LLC. Bred in Texas by Iris M. Buchanan, the gelding is by champion Ec Jet One from the Panther Mountain mare Fee Lion. Mr Jet Fees was a $18,000 purchase at the 2025 TQHA Yearling Sale.

Flight History was only one-thousandth of a second behind Mr Jet Fees while posting the third-fastest qualifying time of 17.831 in the fifth trial.

With champion jockey Francisco Calderon aboard, Flight History broke first from post two and established an early half-length advantage. After being headed during the race, the Favorite Cartel filly surged back to defeat Yegua Ranchera by a neck. She also earned a 91 speed index while competing into a 14 mph headwind.

Flight History has won two of three career starts and earned $11,400. She broke her maiden in her career debut while winning a Ruidoso Futurity trial at Albuquerque in May. She was off the board following a troubled effort in the Rainbow Futurity trials on June 27 before returning to the winner's circle Saturday.

Kash Reed trains Flight History for owner No Judge II, LLC. Bred in California by Steve D. Burns, DVM, the filly is by leding sire Favorite Cartel from Seperate Flight, by Separatist. Flight History was purchased for $30,000 at the 2025 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

The remaining qualifiers, in order of time, were Yegua Ranchera (:17.889), Lil Ferrari Wagon (:17.898), Built For Greatness (:17.900), Prize Time Girl (:17.917), Feenix (:17.955), Bloodwork (:17.958), and Crystal Boi (:17.971).
