The 2023 Bank of America Challenge Championships Will Return To Lone Star Park

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX–NOVEMBER 8, 2022–The Bank of America Challenge Championships are set to return to the Lone Star State in 2023, as Lone Star Park hosts the championship event that brings together top class American Quarter Horses from all over the world.

Lone Star Park is one of the most frequent hosts of the Bank of America Challenge Championships, as this will be the sixth time the Grand Prairie, Texas, racetrack will play host. The event is scheduled for October 21, 2023.

"We couldn’t be more thrilled to return to the home state of the American Quarter Horse Association," said AQHA Chief Racing Officer Janet VanBebber. "Lone Star Park is a world-class racetrack and we look forward to showcasing our championship night on this stage."

The Bank of America Racing Challenge provides more opportunity for horsemen across all divisions of racing, and since its inception has handed out more than $100 million in purse money.

The 2022 edition was hosted for the first time at Horseshoe Indianapolis, which welcomed horsemen and staged a great night of racing.

World Champion Danjer romped to a third consecutive victory in the night’s crowning race, the Bank of America Challenge Championship (G1), which is a record number of wins in the stake’s history. Only Kool Kue Baby before him has won multiple editions of the race. Danjer has to date earned $463,183 in the Challenge program alone.

The Challenge Championships were last held at Lone Star Park in 2015.

Once enrolled in the Bank of America Racing Challenge, a horse is eligible for a lifetime of racing opportunity. This year’s enrollments close December 31.
