West Texas Futurity Trials Draw 129 Juveniles
Sunland Park will host 13 trials for the $100,000-added Grade 2 West Texas Futurity on Sunday.

SUNLAND PARK, NM–MARCH 12, 2025–
Ring A Ling Ding, a recent maiden winner in his official career debut, heads a group of 129 2-year-olds entered in Sunday's West Texas Futurity (G2) trials at Sunland Park.

The 10 fastest qualifiers from Sunday's 13 300-yard trials will meet in the $100,000-added final on April 5.

Ring A Ling Ding will be stretching out in distance off of his half-length victory in a 250-yard, $24,300 maiden-special-weight sprint on March 8. Tony Sedillo trains the gelded son of the leading first crop Tempting Dash sire Pa Cha Ching for owners Kenneth Wallin, Cherie Wallin, and Cade Wallin.

Ring A Ling Ding drew post 5 and will be ridden by Alfredo Sigala in the 13th trial.

Other prominent 2-year-olds entered in Sunday's trials include Sin Tachas Favorite, a daughter of Favorite Cartel purchased for $270,000 at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale.

Trained by Trey Wood for owners Norman W. Allen and Scott Bryant, the brown filly is out of Prissy Sin Tacha, a winning daughter of champion Tempting Dash who ran third in the 2015 Texas Classic Futurity (G1) at Lone Star Park. She traces back to her third dam, Sin Tacha, the dam of world champion Streakin Sin Tacha.

Sin Tachas Favorite drew post 8 and will be ridden by Ricky Ramirez in the ninth heat.

Kiss And Go, a sorrel Kiss My Hocks gelding and a $250,000 buy at last year's Texas QHA Yearlilng Sale in San Antonio, drew post 7 and will be ridden by Sergio Becerra Jr. in the fourth trial. Eric Valenzuela trains Kiss And Go for owners AA Farms LLC and Tungsten Racing Partnership.
