LQHBA 46th Annual Yearling Sale Kicks Off Friday In Kinder

ALEXANDRIA, LA—AUGUST 4, 2022—The Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders' Association kicks off its annual two-day yearling sale on Friday (Aug 5) at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder.

The 46th annual Louisiana Bred Yearling Sale will feature 643 yearlings eligible to participate in the nations #1 state bred program. Louisiana-bred horses run for more than $21 million in purse money each year.

Persons who cannot attend the sale can watch it via live streaming on the association’s website lqhba.com. The live stream will start shortly before 10:00 a.m. each day.

All yearlings passing through the ring have been nominated to the $1 million 2022 LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity(RG1).

The sale will be conducted over two days again this year with the opening session getting under way at 10:00 a.m. (CDT) today, featuring Hips 1 thru 287. Saturday's (Aug 6) second session, featuring Hips 288 thru 643, will begin at 10:00 a.m. (CDT).
