Hun E Do Goes Wire-To-Wire For The Win In The Belle Stakes At Fair Meadows

TULSA, OK–JUNE 25, 2022–The second to last race of the night at Fair Meadows in Tulsa was the $16,925 Belle Stakes for Oklahoma bred three year old and up fillies and mares. Terry Dale and Shania Cox’ filly Hun E Do was the victor after scoring her second win of the season under jockey Cody Wainscott.

Post-time favorite Hun E Do drew fifth position and fired out of the gates first keeping the lead to finish by a neck over Corona Relentless. She clocked a 98 speed index on a fast track with a 7 mph head wind in :17.636 seconds. The 4-year-old filly took home $10,338 as the winner’s share, increasing her career earnings to $59,365.

Hun E Do, who is bred and trained by Ray Enlow, has been to the winner’s circle six times in her lifetime, including the Miss Ellen Stakes in 2021. She is by Racy Casanova and out of First Place Fish by Fishers Dash.

Last to load in the gates was Corona Relentless, who had 28-1 odds at post-time and paid $13.20 to place. Jockey Jasten Pedraza and Coronas Relentless were only a stride behind Hun E Do from wire-to-wire and finished second a neck ahead of Dox Notta Fox.

Corona Relentless is one of two fillies by Hes Relentless to compete in the 350-yard stakes race. The daughter of Coronas Concierge by Corona Cartel has been to the winners circle 5-times for owner Roberto Zuniga-Rios and banked $64,279 in lifetime earnings. 

Lucio Expiritu conditioned the 4-year-old filly bred by Eddie Cramer and Tom or Bill Maher. Corona Relentless sold for $6,500 in the 2019 Heritage Place Yearling Sale. 

Dox Notta Fox under the guidance of Roman Cruz finished third for the second time this month. The 4-year-old filly by Wagon Tales placed third on June 11th in the Golden Driller Stakes. The Belle Stakes ups her career earnings to $68,514 for owner Ismael Quijada.

The Alice Gay Steward bred filly out of Strawflyin Annie by Strawflyin Buds is conditioned by Cosme Quijada. 

The remaining order of finish for the Belle Stakes was Mh Our Secret Spy, Ms Lori Darlin, Olena Sangria, Choot Em Lizz and Bv Don’t Cry Joni.
