His Time To Deal Gets Second Straight Stakes Victory in $59,000 Lip Chip LLC Stakes at Lone Star

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—SEPTEMBER 24, 2022—Pete Scarmardo's homebred graded stakes winner His Time To Deal picked up his second consecutive black type win on Saturday when he defeated Blazin The Moon by half-a-length in the $59,000 Lip Chip LLC Stakes at Lone Star Saturday night.

Under jockey Ali Rivera, His Time To Deal cruised over the 350 yard course in :17.576 seconds, equaling a 97 speed index with a 5 mph tailwind. It was the eighth career win for the son of multiple stakes sire Dealagame.

Trainer John Stinebaugh sent out the Texas-bred who picked dup $33,630 to increase his earnings mark to $255,038. In his previous start he won the Bank Of America Remington Park Championship Challenge.  He could make his next start in the $300,000-est. Grade 1 Bank of America Challenge Championship(G1) at Horseshoe Indiana October 23rd.

His Time To Deal is out of the multiple stakes producing First Down Dash mare Lady Lila.

Trainer Rolando Almanza saddled runner-up Blazin The Moon for owners La Feliz Montana Ranch LLC.  Ricardo Garza-Cruz rode the 4-year-old son of champion Moonin The Eagle from the Corona Cartel mare Cindys First Cd. Jorge Haddad bred the gray colt in Texas.  He picked up $10,030 to increase his earnings to $52,167.

A nose back Ima Catboy earned $5,900 for third. Trainer Jorge Valenzuela trains the Texas homebred for owner-breeders Sunset Well Services, Inc. Francisco Giles rode the Pyc Paint Your Wagon 4-year-old out of Jess Goldiggers by Mr Jess Perry. He has earned $72,703 in 18 starts.

Won Famous Dash, Jesslightninglegs, El Tartanero Jess, Wagon Load Of Corona, Tempting Knockout and Biden Record completed the field.

There were 4,462 in attendance for the Saturday night card. Total handle for the twelve races was $597,540.
