$110,100 Ultimo Alex Tops First Ever Heritage Place Mid-Winter Online Mixed Sale

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–FEBRUARY 17, 2023–Ultimo Alex, a multiple RG1finalist son of champion Inseperable, was the top seller in the just completed first ever Heritage Place Mid-Winter Online Mixed Sale.

The longtime Oklahoma City based sale company held a three-day online auction, January 14-16 for mixed age horses.

Ten of 12 head offered sold for gross receipts of $418,600, a $41,860 average and $29,050 median.

"Heritage Place is very pleased with the results and participation for the First Mixed Online offering," Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney said today. "Thank You to everyone that participated and we wish the buyers much success on their purchases."

Red Sea Racing Stables, LLC paid $110,100 for Lot 13 Ultimo Alex, a 4-year-old son of Inseperable consigned by Haddad Ranch. Out of the stakes winning and multiple stakes-producing Corona Cartel mare Cindys First CD, Ultimo Alex won or placed in seven of 15 career starts and earned $140,501.

He was fourth in the LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity(RG1) and a finalist in the Lee Berwick Futurity(RG1) Mardi Gras Futurity(RG1) and Laddie Futurity(RG2) at 2. At 3, Ultimo Alex was fourth in the Firecracker Derby(G3) and LQHBA Breeders Derby(RG3) and a finalist in the TQHA Sires' Cup Derby.

Leobersi Perez paid $80,300 for the high-selling broodmare, Hip 2, Miss Racy Jess a 15-year-old daughter of leading broodmare sire Mr Jess Perry. Granada Farms, Agent for Trotter & Blodgett consigned the AQHA Racing champion filly who earned $485,113. She is out of the Grade 1 winner  two-time champion producer Miss Racy Vike by Racin Free.

Grade 1 Rainbow Futurity winner Ms First Prize Rose was purchased by Bee Sliva for $66,600. The 12-year-old daughter of Corona Cartel was consigned by Granada Farms, Agent for Trotter & Blodgett. The dam of one stakes-placed, Ms First Prize Rose is from the Heritage Place Futurity(G1) winner First Carolina by Mr Jess Perry.  The second dam is a sister all-time leading sire First Down Dash.

Red Sea Racing Stables, LLC was the sale's leading buyer. Granada Farms, Agent for Trotter & Blodgett was the sale's leading consignor with two head for gross receipts of $146,900.

Cahill was the sale's leading covering sire (by average, two or more sold) with two in-foal mares averaging $8,100.
