HOUSTON, TX—APRIL 15, 2025—Final sustaining payments and late nominations to the Grade 2 $450,000-est. Sam Houston Futurity and the Grade 3 $200,000-est. Sam Houston Derby are due today, April 15th.

The Sam Houston Race Park Quarter Horse Meet will begin on April 24 and run through June 14. Racing will be conducted on Thursdays starting at 4:30 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 6:30 p.m. (CDT).

Hoosier Eye Candy Wins First Quarter Horse Race Of The Meet At Horseshoe Indianapolis

SHELBYVILLE, IN–APRIL 15, 2025—Hoosier Eye Candy and Eduardo Diaz rallied home as the first Quarter Horse winner of the season today to close out the season opener at Horseshoe Indianapolis.

Trained by Tim Eggleston, Hoosier Eye Candy was one of two in the race for the stable, joined by Political Lies and Rolando Pina. However, Hoosier Eye Candy came out of the gate with authority, taking over from post two.

FARMINGTON, NM–APRIL 14, 2025–Multiple graded stakes winner Pavel and graded stakes winner Easily Bella CSJ are two of the 10 state-bred 3-year-olds entered in Friday's 400-yard, $81,000 New Mexico Breeders' Stakes (RG3) at SunRay Park.
