PORTLAND, TN–NOVEMBER 21, 2024–Broodmare of the Year, Runaway Wave SI 105, passed away recently at her owner, Dan and Michelle Lucas, farm in Portland, Tennessee. She was 29 years old.
The daughter of leading broodmare sire Runaway Winner was third in the Dash For Cash Derby(G2) and a finalist in the Texas Classic Derby(G1), Dash for Cash Futurity (G2) and Las Damas Handicap(G2). She was named Texas Champion 3-Year-Old Filly in 1998.
